Great shoes to wear during a storm.
I bought these shoes because I needed both comfortable and waterproof shoes in preparation for our Viking cruise through the Eastern Seaboard in mid-October. I definitely put them to the test. When we arrived in New York we got caught up in a large rain and windstorm which led to having to unexpectedly spend a lot more days walking round the outside deck of the ship. Needless to say the ship was rocking and the deck was extremely wet with large puddles of water. Not only did my new shoes keep my feet very dry, but surprisingly, the rubber sole pattern of the shoe acted almost like a suction cup. The more water I had to walk through on the deck, the more grip the shoes gave me. I felt very safe walking many miles around the deck even in the extreme wind and rain. Definitely glad I purchased these shoes before our trip.
